We know that new inventory is hard for dealerships to come by these days. With the lack of factory-fresh vehicles on the lots, dealerships need to be moving as many units as they can, with a new emphasis on used vehicles. However, there may be some trucks and SUV’s in the used section of your lot that need help. Whether its because of a lack of features or because of a vehicles looks, an up-fit package can be the difference selling a used vehicle or hanging onto it for ages.

SORS is here to help. In this installment of our blog series, we’ll look at different ways your dealership can spruce up vehicles in its used inventory in order to increase curb appeal and move more units.

Have a used truck or SUV that already has some suspension upgrades, trail worthy tires, or other off-road upgrades? Finish off the look with some accessories. Add-ons like side-steps and auxiliary lighting add to a vehicles looks and capability, and do so for a small price-point. Other add-ons, such as tonneau covers for trucks, also increase a vehicles’ profitability without a sizable investment into said vehicle.

Adding a set of aftermarket wheels and aggressively-styled all-terrain tires are a cost effective way to radically change a truck’s looks. Typically, trucks without any suspension lift will be able to accept a slightly larger wheel/tire combination than stock, adding to a more aggressive aesthetic. However, in order to move up to popular combinations such as 20” wheels and tires 33” or larger, a suspension lift will be needed.

If you want turn your used trucks or SUVs into real head turners, opt for a full up-fit package. SORS’s vehicle packages bring both previous points together with a suspension level or lift kit for a complete vehicle overhaul. While this requires a higher level of investment into the selected vehicle, fitting a used truck or SUV with an up-fit package will ultimately help you sell the truck more quickly, and get more for it.
